Healthy Meals For Busy People

Wellness Enterprises

Chef Ana Cecere specializes in several different diets, which are detailed below.

Gluten Free-Casein Free

Gluten is a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye.  Casein is a protein found in the milk of mammals, with higher concentrations in cow’s milk specifically.  Gluten and Casein proteins both react similarly in the body.  Many people have adverse reactions to consuming gluten, including people with Celiac’s Disease and food sensitivities.  Many people who choose a gluten-free diet also choose to follow a casein-free diet for maximum benefit.  Eating a Gluten Free/Casein Free diet can be delicious with great foods such as Gluten-Free Cream Of Spinach. More information about Gluten Free diets can be found at www.livingwithout.com.

Macrobiotic

A macrobiotic diet is a low-fat, high fiber diet that emphasizes eating whole grains, beans, sea vegetables, and locally-grown, in season, vegetables.  It includes small amounts of animal proteins, and a limited intake of sugars.  Many oncologists recommend Macrobiotic Diets for their cancer patients since a low-fat, high fiber diet has been shown to help.    Eating a macrobiotic diet can be delicious with great foods such as Ana’s Brown Rice Saute Delight.  More information on macrobiotic diets can be found at www.kushiinstitute.org.

Vegetarian

Vegetarians do not eat meat, fish, or poultry.  Vegans also choose to exclude all animal products from their diet, including eggs and dairy products.  Vegetarians choose foods like leafy green vegetables, beans, and whole grains to include protein in their diet.  There are a variety of reasons people choose a vegetarian diet. Eating a vegetarian diet can be delicious with great foods such as Curried Sweet Potatoes.

Traditional

Ana Cecere prepares a variety of traditional diets, including Portuguese, Italian, French, Indian, and Thai cuisine for her clients who do not have any eating restrictions.  She still prepares these foods using locally grown, organic, trusted food sources, without the use of artificial flavoring or preservatives.

Alkaline

An alkaline diet is a balanced diet of 80% alkaline foods such as most fruits and veggies and greens, and a 20% allowance of acidic foods such as coffee, meats, and rice.  This ratio keeps the body’s internal PH at approximately 7.0  alkaline, which is ideal.  Top 10 Alkalinizing Tips:  Drink lots of water.  Avoid coffee, tea, and soda.  Avoid food additives and food coloring.  Avoid artificial sweeteners.  Keep cut-up veggies and soaked nuts for snacking.  Make a huge salad.  Breathe through your belly.  Manage your stress level.  Eat organic foods. And use top quality green powders.  People follow this diet to lose weight or just feel healthier overall.  Eating an alkaline diet can be delicious with great foods such as Quinoa Vegetable Skillet.

Raw Foods

A raw foods diet includes mostly unprocessed, uncooked plant foods.  These foods are sometimes referred to as living food.  Since no nutrients are lost in the cooking process, they all go straight to your body. Eating a raw foods diet can be delicious with great foods such as Raw Carrot Cake.  More information about raw foods diets can be found at www.rawfamily.com and www.rawspirit.org.
